Speaking

As a seasoned conference speaker, I bring over a decade of experience as a therapist and mental health supervisor, covering a variety of topics such as marriage, trauma, communication, leadership, and common mental health issues like anxiety and depression. My extensive background in mental health has equipped me with the knowledge and practical insights necessary to help individuals and professionals navigate life’s challenges and enhance their overall well-being. My presentations are designed to be both informative and engaging, ensuring that audiences leave with valuable tools they can apply in their personal and professional lives. I will likely make you laugh, I might make you cry, but I aim to get to the heart of the matter.

I have had the privilege of speaking internationally, sharing my expertise with diverse audiences in countries such as Mexico, Guatemala, and Israel. These experiences have allowed me to connect with people from various cultural backgrounds, further enriching my understanding of the universal challenges we all face. My international work has provided me with a unique perspective on mental health and wellness, which I bring to every speaking engagement, whether addressing a local community or an international audience.

In addition to my conference work, I co-host a monthly mental health meet-up called “Shots with Shrinks” alongside my colleague, Keri Corn. This event provides a relaxed environment for individuals to discuss mental health topics, ask questions, and gain insights from professionals in the field. This ongoing engagement with the community keeps me grounded in the day-to-day realities that people face and allows me to stay current with the issues that matter most to them.

Moreover, I have the honor of training new police officers in mental health, addictions, and personality disorders at the NW Arkansas Law Enforcement Academy. This role allows me to directly impact the well-being of both law enforcement personnel and the communities they serve. By equipping officers with a deeper understanding of mental health, I aim to foster more compassionate and effective responses to the complex situations they encounter in their line of duty.
